One of the most memorable of our podcast series was Dam-Funk’s 2009 all-gospel, boogie-funk mixtape Spiritual Flight. We’re pleased to kick off 2013 on a positive note with Dam’s second volume of Spiritual Flight.

DāM-FunK - Amaretto Sunset [Unreleased Cassette Tape Recording]

An early recording on cassette tape, recorded in Inglewood, California sometime during the very late 90's. (I forgot what year). But, this is the kind of stuff I was 'experimenting' with even back then, while still working odd jobs & holding on to them, in & around L.A. just to pay my small studio apartment rent every 1st of the month + pay for studio time to create & take my lady out every once in a while on the town. *I never gave up on the 'Funk' dream.

DāM-FunK - J-1 (Fly On)

I've decided to make this 'mp3' version FREE (as opposed to the Wav. version, in which great human beings donated $ to J-1's family last year, to assist in burial) yet, the reason for this today is to assure that EVERYONE bangs this joint 'LOUD' where ever they may be & remember that bro. Jovan Coleman LIVED! He really did it out there. R.I.P.
