Kyle Rapps – SUB (free album)

“I wanted to come with a record that could make suburban hood niggas feel proud, while still showing love to Harlem where I stay. My friend Belief came through with all the production on the tape. Post-Apocalypse boom bap shit, with non-corny sprinkles of trap and electro. I think we dug a little deeper without being all over intellectual and shit. SUB.”

Kyle Rapps - Super Glue ft. Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire (video)

Last time we saw Harlem's Kyle Rapps he was being a big-mouthed baby in his "Watch Out" video. His new video "Super Glue", that sees him team up with Noisey favourite Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire, is even better: Kyle's free flows and flowing dreads are cut with dirty bits from vintage pornos. It's basically the best chat-up line we've ever heard, with Kyle providing a five point plan on how take a girl home.

Kyle Rapps & Diwon “Portlandia”

In promotion for Kyle Rapps and Diwon’s forthcoming TV themed mixtape Syndication, the emcee/producer duo deliver the project’s third and final leak, “Portlandia.” In keeping with the mixtape’s theme of flipping TV show samples, Diwon builds off the show’s theme song “Feel It All Around,” originally composed by Washed Out. “Portlandia” is just one of the many TV themed sample flips that you’ll find on Syndication, which drops October 17th, 2012, the same day that the duo is performing as part of a Scion sponsored CMJ showcase at The Paperbox (Brooklyn, NYC), along with Pro Era’s Capital Steez, Brandun Deshay, Aaron Cohen & The Inner City Kids, Rilgood, Maffew Ragazino and more!

Kyle Rapps & Diwon – Breaking Bad

On the heels of both their extolled remix for Lana Del Rey's "Born To Die" and pastiched visual presentation of "Mr. Rogers" Neighborhood, emcee/producer duo Kyle Rapps & Diwon continue their repertoire of dementing TV show samples into a gritty Boom-Trap aesthetic, with their Breaking Bad inspired video of the same title. Donning the show's trademark Hazmat suit and safety goggles, Rapps takes on the role of a swagged out Walter White. "Breaking Bad" is just one of the many TV themed sample flips that you'll find on their forthcoming, duly titled mixtape, Syndication. Set to be released on October 17th, Syndication falls on the day that the duo is performing as part of a Scion sponsored CMJ showcase at The Paperbox (Brooklyn, NYC).
